When Diane Davies and Sarah Thompson retired from their professions, they turned a barn on their property into a pottery studio and purchased several kinds of kilns, including a huge gas kiln. This trip will let you watch clay being molded on the wheel (and will let you try it yourself if you're game); will show you the different techniques involved in making pottery; and will show you how the various kilns work.
