On-Site Fall Registration!
Please join us for our big fall registration event on Monday, September 13! We’ll be accepting new and renewal memberships, and you can sign up for your favorite courses while you’re there.
In addition to on-site class registration, you'll be able to learn more about our interest group activities and travel-study excursions. Of course, one of the most important reasons for attending the event is to see old friends and make new ones while enjoying pastries with tea or coffee.
You can also pre-register by mail using forms downloaded from our Sign Up page. If you pre-register, you can pick up your confirmation packet at Trumps on September 13. We’ll mail you your packet if you are unable to attend.

Are you interested in learning for the fun of it while going to school with friends? That's what OLLI at UGA is all about. We are a nonprofit, member-led group. Our mission is to stimulate minds and forge friendships through continuing education.
Based on the UGA campus in Athens, Georgia, we were previously known as LIR, Learning in Retirement. We have no educational prerequisites - all you need is a love of learning, the desire to keep your mind active, and an interest in making new friends.

"That petit tyrant inside a ball of bone" is the way Diane Ackerman described the brain. Keeping that "tyrant" healthy is a most worthy cause. The goal of this presentation is to help us do just that.
This course has two goals: First, it will highlight the most important connections between the Constitution and U.S.history itself, covering topics such as the visions of the founders, how the Civil War rewrote the Constitution, and how The Great Depression and FDR remade the Constitution.Second, the class will focus on constitutional law interpretations that form the basis of today's most controversial issues, e.g., gay marriage, reproductive choice, religion in public schools, etc.
See All Courses"OLLI@UGA is a terrific organization for older adults who are new to the area. Even the volunteering is fun. Classes stretch my mind and the University connection provides unparalleled opportunities to learn from acknowledged national and world wide experts...and some of them are also OLLI members!"
